State-of-the-Art Equipment

At Big Creek Animal Hospital, you’ll be working with two AI-powered Vetscan Imagyst machines. These Zoetis machines deliver point-of-care insights that grant Big Creek Animal Hospital expert-level results in minutes, making your response time to the animal’s life-changing.

Culture & leadership: Led by experienced veterinarians (including Dr. Kim M. Garner, owner since 1997), the hospital emphasizes treating every pet as if they were their own, teamwork, and kindness. You’ll be able to learn from the most seasoned veterinarians, and you’ll have the potential to take over the business.

Why This Role

You’ll step into a community-focused clinic known for personalized care and a friendly front desk/tech team. With no after-hours and a flexible schedule, this is an ideal role for veterinarians who value work-life balance without compromising medical excellence. Clinic hours are typically Mon–Fri 7:00 AM–6:00 PM, with limited Saturday hours, allowing you to craft a schedule that works for you.

What You’ll Do

• Provide comprehensive wellness, preventive care, and internal medicine for dogs & cats
• Perform and/or oversee diagnostics (labwork, radiography) and guide treatment plans
• Conduct soft-tissue surgeries and dentistry (or grow into these areas with mentorship)
• Deliver clear, compassionate client communication and education
• Collaborate with skilled assistants/technicians to ensure efficient, high-quality care
• Maintain accurate medical records and uphold hospital protocols
• Contribute to a positive, learning-oriented culture; new grads welcomed

What You’ll Bring

• DVM/VMD (AVMA-accredited) and eligibility for Tennessee licensure & DEA
• Strong clinical judgment and a team-first mindset
• Excellent communication and empathy with clients and colleagues
• Comfort with routine surgery/dentistry or desire to develop those skills
